It’s obvious that social networking sites are being used by a large number of users accross the globe. There are benefits to connecting with peers who share mutual interests and ideas.
One obvious benefit is the implementation of a social network’s Application Programming Interface (API). API’s allow end-users to access to their own user data to speed-up the ‘Sign In’ and ‘Login In’ processes. This implementation reduces the need to complete account fields, remember different user names and passwords, and in some cases the need to log back-in to the site. For example, if you’re logged into Facebook in one web browser tab and you open up another tab you will be automatically logged-in to the site in question.
